
Flicker & Found is a candle and home fragrance brand built around the idea of capturing memories in scent. The team wanted to move away from a generic, lifestyle look and create an identity that feels intimate, story-driven, and special enough to live on a shelf, a table, or a gift list.

The team wanted a brand that feels warm and collectible, not just another pretty label on a jar. Our mission was to design a visual identity and online experience that highlight the story behind each scent, so every product feels like a small chapter in someone’s life rather than just an item in a cart.

THE CHALLENGES
The old brand looked pleasant, but it did not say anything unique about memory or story.
Packaging, typography, and product photography leaned on generic lifestyle cues that blended into a crowded category of candle brands. On the website, scents were listed in a straightforward grid with minimal narrative context, which made it hard for visitors to know which product was right for them or why a specific collection was special. This limited emotional connection and reduced the brand’s potential as a gifting choice.

THE RESULT
We repositioned Flicker & Found around scent as a trigger for specific, nameable memories.
The new identity introduces a calmer typographic system, softer color tones, and label layouts that give more space to scent names and short memory prompts. On the e-commerce experience, each product now includes a simple memory frame, clearer scent notes, and pairing suggestions for mood or occasion. The result is a brand that feels intimate and thoughtful, making it easier for customers to choose, gift, and return to their favorite stories in scent form.
